Sticking with Your Spouse Trough Thick And Thin

I am Peter from New York. Five years ago I met a very attractive and intelligent Russian lady through your website. We got married after a few months of correspondence and more than six months of waiting for her visa.

The good news is that we are still happily married after four years. We have a three-year-old boy. I was married before but this marriage is so different from my previous marriage because of commitment to make it work. That is also the reason for this letter. The difference is the commitment to make a success of the marriage. Alla is so committed to make it work. I see it as part of the Russian culture that did not exist in my previous marriage.

We dearly love each other. To be together as a family and to be happy and have fun is so important for us. We have so much to be thankful for, child assets and sufficient money. We both are educated and that surely contributed to our success in the sense that when it is not going so smoothly in the marriage that we must talk. One of us will then suggest that it is time that we talk and then we make notes and commit ourselves to what we have agreed. We will then work on it until we make it work. We do not give up or say that I am not interested in changing. 

After the birth of our child, it did not go so well in the bedroom as well. Alla said that the birth of the child have played a role in her feelings towards me. We have sat down, Alla have committed her that she will work on the situation to change it. She had two appointments with a psychologist Slowly it has changed to the level where it is blossoming again. The psychologist has told her that she must concentrate on the reasons that she loves me. It was a slow process. I also gave her some space and never pressurized her. Our martial relationship has grown so strong. We feel so good when we are together. It is an indescribable feeling of togetherness.

It is wonderful to have such a committed wife that would put all effort in to make it work in the marriage. She has never said that she is not interested to making a change. It is such a wonderful feeling that to know that you will always be able to work it out in a marriage than rather go the opposite way. It takes the stress out of the marriage. Is it a Russian tradition to stick with your spouse trough thick and thin?
