Dear Elena:
I begin with thank you. For sending me the email with the letter from Matt. I hope he finds what he seeks. I have used the internet now for 8 months trying to find some women to meet in Russia. It has been success and mainly failure. I have learned much. Much about Russia. Much about Russian women. Much about internet scams. Much about laws.
These are some of the things I learned and hope your readers will learn from this. I leave for Rostov on August 9 and I stay for 3 weeks. I go to meet one very special woman.
If a man 48 like me seeks a wife that is 20 he is not being realistic. My friend Elena is 42. She is very beautiful. She is a person you could converse with for years. An equal partner. So stay in a realistic age range. Do you really want to marry your daughter?
The language. Take the time to learn the language. It is not as difficult as you would think. It is a benefit that will serve you well in your travels to Russia. Elena's whole family respects me more because of the language attempt. When we talk on the phone we have no problems with language. Elena's English and my Russian serve us well. Russklish does work.
The telephone. If you pay more than .15 cents per minute you are over paying. All the telephone companies have special overseas rates now. Mine is $2.95 per month and 15 cents a minute. I have kept my phone bill fairly low. But we talk all the time.
Put in the time. Serious women write. They write their own thoughts and words. If you put in the effort you will soon learn who is honest and who is not.
Understand that normal Russian women are not dying to marry to come to the United States. Most are just wanting a partner. Someone to love and be loved. They will leave friends and family. It is a very difficult decision for them. Elena would be leaving a mother, father, sister, nephews and many good friends. She also must sell property. Yes, not all Russian's are poor. Do not assume poverty. Fortunately, property is easy to sell in Russia. Elena is very proud because she comes to this relationship as an equal. Russian women are proud. Proud with kind hearts and so much love to give.
Gifts. When you travel take gifts. Small things. Unique things. Small bottles of perfume. Show you care and are thoughtful. Take lots of candy. To give to children. Promote your kindness in front of your woman. Russian women like men that are good to children. You will make many friends and not appear as the "ugly American."
Don't be an ugly American. Try to not brag about money or how wonderful it is in the USA. Talk about other things. Music, theater, arts and movies. Russian women are intelligent. They have a lot to say if you listen. They wish to know what you like and do not like. Send music and photos with your letters. If a woman has her own computer and does not use internet cafes then you can assume she is stable in her finances. In general.
Money. If you are asked for money be wary. Elena has arranged housing for me. Train tickets and hotel stay for us in Sochi. She paid for these things. I will pay her back of course. But, it shows she is a very good and honest woman. When the hotel sent me an email confirming my hotel room I was very happy. It proves to me she is everything that I hoped she was. Probably more.
So, when I am running around Rostov with Elena, and dipping my toes in the Black Sea I will think of all you guys. I know I have found my soulmate. It took many hours and much effort. Some luck. So many failures. One success. It only takes one.
Finally, if you do not have the time to put in a maximum and serious effort. Then you should definately use a service. You avoid the pitfalls. I am not a client of Elena's Models. But, I have looked at hundreds of sites. There is so much information and work put into this site, it seems to be by far a very good way to meet a Russian woman that is serious. But, you should also be serious. If you look to play. Then you give us all a bad name. Their Duma actually thought about passing a law restricting women from marrying foreign men. It failed, but the player's hurt us all.
