I am a single male father of 1 38 years old.I was on Anatopia.com where we first made contact. The contact between us has been going on for a bit over one month. We started out innocent enough and soon talked of love but soon came to a point where it was all about her money troubles in Russia and how she needs help. This is her first letter to me  after I sent a small note of interest:

I live in the city of my born, Volzhsk. Volzhsk is the most beautiful city (as I think) in Russia that is situated to the South-East from Moscow. It is near 850 km from the capital of  my country. If you want I can tell you more about my city in my next letter, just ask me about it, it won't be difficult for me. So, I live in a one-roomed flat with my mother. Our flat is very small but  very cozy. We have a lot of flowers here, I like flowers very much, especially roses. It is very bad that I can't have roses at home, I would like to. We have a pet. It is a cat. Her name is Myrka. She is 7 years. I love her a lot. She is like my sister. You know, it can be strange, but I think that we can
understand and feel each other. I work in a shop. I am a shop assistant. Our shop sell clothes for woman. I like my job very much, because I think it is
very interesting. I meet a lot of people and I always speak with them. By the way 4 years ago I have finished a university with a red diploma. Red diploma means that I have finished the university and I had only excellent marks. I was
always studying very good, because I knew that the education is very important in our time. If you do not have good education then you do not have a job and then you do not have a good life. I have a lot of hobbies. Most of all I like to read books. I read them every evening before go to bad. Almost all of them are very exciting and sometimes I just can't stop reading them. My favorite janres are classic and love novels. I like theatres a lot. I go there every time I can. Of course it is not cheap to go there, but I try to find money once a month to see a play. I like listening to the music. I like all music at all,but  the most I like classic music. For example Bach,  Chaykovsky, etc. I like doing sport. I like to swim a lot. I think that water relaxes my body most of all. It is very good when you are in the water. I do my morning exercises every morning. I try to keep my figure good. So, I think now you have a little thought about me, about my likes. I would like to tell you now about why I am here. I am 28 years now and I think that it is the best age for marrying. It is the best age for have children. I do not like Russian man. Of course there are a lot of good men in my country, but frankly speaking almost all of them just want to drink vodka and to have sex with woman. But it is not enough for me. I want really great
relation with a man. I want him to love me. That's why almost three weeks ago I went to the internet cafey. Before you I was writing to two other men from USA, but they didn't suit me. I really didn't like them. I always write only to one man. I think that it is not good to write to some men in one time. So you are the third

I actually said I would try to help her when I finished my bills at the end of the month and as the month drew nearer her need for money seem to be greater; at first it was just internet money than it was food in general then it was food for a birthday party for her on February 7th then I decided to tell her that I thought that the best use of any extra cash I had should go in a savings account so we could save up for her to come here so she did not have to suffer any longer. 

My next letter from her stated that:  

Vinny, I have a big trouble. It is really bad. I do not know what to do. I will try to tell you what's happened. The fact is that today I went to the bank and I have taken my mother pension. Because we have to pay for our flat on Saturday. There was 160 dollars, because my mother didn't take it for 3 months. And when I was going from the bank two guys took my hands and put me to the car. I was shocked. I didn't know what to do. I wanted to shout but they told me that they will kill me if I will do this and they put the knife to my head. It was terrible. They took my bag with all the money and told me that if I
go to police they will find me and kill me. Vinny, I do not know what to do. It happened two hours ago then I went to my friend and borrowed 3 dollars to write the letter to you. I need the advice. I need help. I do not know how I will tell my mother about it. Because we have no place to find money to pay for our
flat, and if we do not pay they will take our flat and we will live on the streets. And they will not wait for any more day after the Saturday. 

She goes on to say that she will pay me back in 3 months.   Of course not buying into this I quickly called her/them on their BS and said that I thought that they were in fact scammers and of course she/they denied it and I wrote her again that I would continue to save money and write her but I would not send her money until I was sure that she was real and I would come to see her first instead of her coming here, which she said was a tradition that Russian woman should come to her man first and she could not break this tradition. She/they then wrote back that because I did not trust her that she would no longer write me. Funny thing is that she some how she found more money
to go to the Internet cafi the day before she was to be kicked out into the street. She also did insist that Western Union was the only way to get her money and she had a friend Lena that told her this because she had a boyfriend in the USA as well and that is why she knew this. She also would never give me her home address.

I am a 52 year old divorced male in the USA. They just keep on coming! Out of the latest batch of 8 scammers I am corresponding with, this is the forth to be reported to the black list making a total of 22 scammers I have reported so far (since May of 2004). I was first contacted by this scammer on January 24, 2005 through the yahoo personals site. As usual, no profile was attached. The e-mail address used was tati_fluffy@bk.ru This scam is the typical money for visa, passport and airfare. This one was interesting because they gave many details of the visa process from the US Embassy including the letter of invitation she would need to have from me. They acknowledge the fact that it is very difficult for a young girl in her country to get a visa but because she has a friend (Galina) who works in the Embassy that it could be done without any problem. If someone didn¹t know better they might fall for this. Of course it is all lies and nonsense, but elaborately done. Notice that she insists that I do not contact the US Embassy and that everything is to be handled only through her. Included are the most important letters and pictures.

I from childhood very much love a nature and in my dreams till now it to travel, to try be closer to a nature and animal. My scammers name is Tatyana Shilova from Irkutsk. Although some simple detective work showed that she was emailing me from Moscow. I am 28 year old Latin male that works as a Cinematographer in the Southwest. Like most men on this list I was contact via Yahoo Personals. Like most men I had the same reaction to the first email "Why is a woman from Russia contacting me?" What got me interested is that there was no picture and usually women that are nervous about their appearance do not show their picture. Of course I'm the kind of guy that likes to learn about other cultures and people so I figured this could be interesting. What made this scammer so good (even my friends and family could not tell) is that it started as any normal relationship. There was no sign of wanting money or a sudden jump to "I love you". It was simple friendship talking about what relationships are all about. The contact started in late November 2004. The first email she sent was in December 4, 2004. She claimed to be a doctor of Cardiology and had 10 years of schooling and had practiced for 2 years and is now 27 years old with no relationship because of her devotion to her work..ect ect ect. Ok so what tipped me off...Only one sign...It was all too perfect. Lets face it how many women are really ready to fall in love with guy in another country without meeting them face to face. This woman is living a cut and paste lifestyle! Another important note is that I noticed many of these scammers are originating from the same place. While searching for the origin of her emails I noticed other scammers had similar origins. If your search sent you to Russia MariEl Republic and Nikolay Nikolaev then you have found the main ISP for that region, but not the computer. The computer is a dialup in Moscow in the region of Moskva. I hope this helps keep these scammers away from good people. Here are her pictures and another letter she wrote.

I was not the least bit suspicious at first, but I have always been cautious and decided to check up on it. Thank God I did. Your website saved me from being scammed. I only received 2 letters from her and one photo. She never got around to asking me for money. Needless to say, after finding out this information about her, I sent her a wonderful nasty gram. I hope she likes it. I probably should not have let my anger get the best of me, as my letter was quite rude (putting it nicely). Beware! She is obviously still in the scamming business. Seems like a pretty convincing letter. I was not aware as to how extensive this scam was until I read your website. I wish I could see the look on her face when she reads what I emailed her! Serves her right for pulling something so stupid. I hope that Yahoo is aware of idiots like this. The email address above is the only one I have for her. She probably has dozens of them. Again, thanks for this website and to the people who came forward with their information as well. Glad I caught onto her before she had a chance to “milk the cow”. I am in the process of informing Yahoo. Just wanted to get this warning out.

searching for a Russian Woman in the FSU and am very aware of the process of obtaining visas and such. When I received her email, I knew what was coming soon...money request. After only 4 emails, she was in love with me, her family and friends blessed us and she needed $390 for visa and consulate
visit. Of course, I checked her out and found she was a scammer. The address
she provided me is a fake as it shows up on a black list site as non existent in Kazan, Russia. She did make one phone call to me using a voice over internet company based out of New Jersey. The number is: 201.824.5055  Thanks to this site, we can continue to list these scammers so others can avoid from being ripped off.  Here is a sample of her first email and one where she requests money:
