I wasn't aware (but I should have been!) of the things going on with Internet dating. After my sad experience with a scammer, I had correspondence with women from the region on a very high intellectual level. We talk about everything - including what may happen in the bedroom, but none of them ever asked me about money! So after reading your web site I clearly feel the difference and I wonder why I didn't feel it before ... And the best news is that I already may have found my dream - she is Russian from Latvia and as you may know there are no visa requirements any more between the Baltic States and Germany. I visited her for a week and she very recently was here for 3 weeks.

Natasha Oserdnikova (Tashkent, Uzbekistan)

Dear Sir/Madam,

This letter concerns a scam by a girl advertised on your web site.
The girl has advertised on a few sites. Three photographs, claimed to be of her, are attached. I found the advertisement for "Natasha" at the site of a dating agency in January 2001. Natasha's letter claimed that she was the Uzbek/Russian representative of the Spanish firm NeuroCor. I found NeuroCor's web site http://www.neurocor.com/ and contacted the firm. The firm told me that they did not have a representative in either Uzbekistan or Russia. So I assumed that the advertisement was a hoax, and I did not contact the girl at that time. In July 2001, I was browsing on the internet again and saw that Natasha's advertisement was still there. According to the ad, her birthday was July 16th. I decided to call her on her birthday. The name and address I had been given in January were as follows.

Natalia Osyerdnikova
Tansikbayeva-2 10-65
Tashkent
Uzbekistan 700179

I also checked with international directory inquiries, asking about the telephone number for the name and address above. I was given the same telephone number as had been given to me by the agency. I called the telephone number, but was told that Natalia/Natasha had moved. The person that I spoke with identified herself as Natasha's sister Christina. She said that Natasha might be there later that day or perhaps the next day. I kept calling back, and on July 17th I was given a telephone number for Natasha. I called that number the same day.

A girl answered the phone and identified herself as Natasha. At first she seemed quite cool towards me. Soon she warmed up, though, and we had a very nice conversation. It was really good--her and I seemed to be very compatible. I told her that I would e-mail her some photographs of myself, etc. I sent the e-mail the next day, also describing myself much further.

On July 23rd, I telephoned again. She said that she had received my e-mail and that she was happy with it. She said that she liked everything about me, though she had no comments about any particular aspects--none. We talked for about an hour. Frankly, I was smitten. She seemed so wonderful! And she seemed to be almost in love with me. Yet, thinking about it afterwards, there were some strange things.

We also agreed that her and I should meet. She was very resistant to my coming to Uzbekistan, though. She said that there was nothing there. Also, she wanted to visit me to see what her potentially-future country might be like. This seemed reasonable. She had mentioned before that she had received many letters from men in America, but that she did not want to live in America. (I found this strange: if it was true, why did she not say so in her original letter to the web site?) I live in England; so that was good.

She said that she had a special "very high" visa that allowed her to get into any country. I have never heard of such a visa. She said that she had this visa because she was a cardiologist. She could use this visa for travelling only if the travel was for work--not if the travel was for vacation/pleasure.

Then she said that if I got her the airplane ticket, the authorities would know that her travel was not for work. So she said that I should send her the money for the ticket and that she would then purchase the ticket herself.

She also told me that she had vacation from August 1st to September 1st. The implicit message was that if she was going to visit, it had to be soon.

By this time, I was pretty sure it was a scam. But I telephoned again on July 25th and also on the 28th. From some of her comments, it seemed very unlikely that she was actually a doctor, as she had claimed to be.

Natasha also mentioned that she, and her father, worked as cardiologists at the Second Tashkent State Medical Academy (TASHMI II). A Russian friend kindly called TASHMI II for me (+ 998 71 2 469648), and asked about a cardiologist named "Oserdnikova/Oserdnikov". My friend was told that they had never heard of anyone by that name. (This reminded me again of NeuroCor.) Later, Natasha changed her story, saying that she actually was employed at the Thoracic Surgery hospital. My friend kindly called this hospital as well (+ 998 71 2 772605), with the same result as before.

I told Natasha that I wanted my consulate, in Tashkent, to check her visa. She happily agreed to this, and I gave her the consulate's address and telephone number. Natasha, though, did not visit the consulate. And she claimed that she had tried phoning them but the line was always engaged.

Plainly, it is all a scam.

Natasha gave me details of the bank to which she wanted the air fare transferred (USD 1300, she claimed, plus extras). These are listed below.

Bank name: National Bank for Foreign Economic activity of the Republic
of Uzbekistan
Branch name: S.Rakhimov
Account number: 20206840399961500000
Account name: OSERDNIKOVA NATALYA
Bank address: Republic of Uzbekistan. Tashkent. 54. S.Kalanov Str.
SWIFT: NBFA UZ 2X

I have written a letter to the bank, to notify them of what the account is being used for. I also spoke with my consulate about charging Natasha with attempted fraud. My consul informed me, however, that under Uzbek law, there is no such crime--there is only the crime of fraud. Since I did not lose any money, the Uzbek authorities would apparently be unwilling to investigate.

Sincerely,
Doug

IT WILL BE THE HAPPIEST MOMENT OF MY LIFE FROM BIRTH!!!!!!! I can only dream of this time now. BUT SOON, REAL SOON (I BELIEVE IT) IT WILL HAPPEN! Is it truth? TELL ME!!! My adress is:

Russia, 455043, Magnitogorsk, Gertsena str, 6-801, Olga Sivkova

But I advise you, it will better if you will send nothing, because Russian mail very unreliable. They can lose your sending.

This was the last letter sent:

Dear Todd!!!
When I have opened my mailbox and saw there your letter, I immediately felt a joy. When I read it, my heart sang with(because of) happiness. I LOVE YOU VERY-VERY-VERY-MUCH!!!!!! You my heart, you my soul, you my love and my life. As you urgently need me, also I urgently need you. I want to be close to you and to feel you and your breath. I want to embrace you, my lips will adjoin your lips and will kiss you, I shall feel your tongue, I shall feel your breath. Yesterday night, I had magnificent sexual dream concerning you and me. I can't keep it in myself. I should express it to you, share it with you. I should find out, whether you also have similar dream. You and I. And nobody more. We together. And we are close the each to other. We embrace each other, we press our bodies against each other, our lips meet and synchronize in operation knowledge. I feel your body, you feel my body. You undress me and I undress you. I feel your sensitive body. You feel my basis. I lay on your breast and I listen to  your heartbeat in double speed. We lay closely to each other and speak about love. We fondle each other. I look into your beautiful eyes, you look into my eyes and both we see a love in the glance each other. I kiss your breast, neck, I kiss you everywhere. And you do same by your sensitive gentle lips. I love you very much. I hear your beautiful voice. And I speak you about my love. We have a rain now. The rain brings love. The love prospers in this weather. It's very romantic atmosphere. Write me the long letters, please. Tell me concerning your thoughts, job and friends, concerning all that you dream and want. I understand, that our mutual relations are under construction on trust. But we should trust each other. Without it our union is simply impossible. I over and over again asked a question: "Why all in this world depends on the money?" I consider, that the money is not main (not most important) in life. Main is when the people can and want to understand each other. I can live without the money. I very strongly want to arrive to you, but money is necessary for this purpose. Money separates us. Money, money and once again money. The damned and accursed money... I have huge desire  to meet, to embrace you and kiss you. If I would have money, I  immediately would come to you. Money is a paper, but the human relations  remain always. I have understood now, that the love is strong feeling. And I'm glad, that I have found this  feeling. In our town there is a firm, which makes business on registration of the visas to other countries. This service costs 260 american dollars. I had consultation and I know, that the American embassy takes the smaller amount of money for the visa. But in our city there is no American embassy. The American embassy is located in Moscow, and for ask the visa in American embassy, I should go to Moscow. But I think, that the way up to Moscow, arrangement, residence and way back will cost much more. And besides, I heard, that the time of preparing the visa in the American embassy very long, because there is a queue. It will take some months. But  the manager of firm has told me, that they will take approximately one week for preparing the visa. Or no more two weeks, if there will be any difficulties. What you think on this occasion? And besides, I never in my life was in Moscow. But I know, that the Moscow is very big and criminal city. And I'm afraid a little.... A small sad smile... I think, than earlier we shall begin to prepare the visa, the earlier it will be ready, and that sooner our meeting will become reality. I thought much and had various consultations. There is an international company, which has business in money transfers. Its name Western Union. It has many Offices in many  cities and countries. There is an Office in Magnitogorsk. I think, if you want, you can send me money for the visa through the Western Union on these data:

GUTA BANK
160 LENINA STREET
MAGNITOGORSK
455021
For Olga Sivkova

You must tell me 10 secret numbers and I should know your fullname to get money.

My girlfriend recently has left to the bridegroom in USA. She has told me something about all details and subtleties. It's real and it's reliable. She is on wedding travel now, and I think, that she is very happy. I impatiently wait for her returning from wedding travel and the story about it. We should do how I speak, and our meeting will be soon. I'm very glad, that you want our meeting. I dream about it too, and I want to be with you!!! I'm very grateful you, that you help our meeting. Money is the only thing(reason) that separates us.  A lot of love from Olga!!!

Pavlo Syrotuk (Berdichev, Ukraine)

This person attempted to scam me also. I had a personal ad running over on yahoo, which "she" answered. Fortunately, the spelling of the name clued  me in, with a little help from some Ukrainian friends. The posted letter is a carbon copy of one that I was sent, the three pictures he sent are already on this site. I was able to cancel the money transfer before it was picked up, and I was smart enough to only send a token amount. This person stated that "she" was a student at Berdichev School of Art, where "she" studied "flats and houses design". I could find no such school on the internet, another tip that it was a scam.

Sveta (Svetlana) Fal (Kremechug, Ukraine)

I want to warn everybody about this scammer, called Svetlana Fal. In her third letter she asked me for money, so I was suspicious and I went to your blacklist section to uncover the true identity of this girl, and found that her letter is identical to the one sent by known scammer Larisa Skorenko from Kremenchug, Ukraine to a guy called David at your page #4 of blacklist. Here is the copy of the letter sent to David, and then for comparison look at the one she sent to me, of course her child has a different name. Her e-mail is  sky@star.sat.poltava.ua. The e-mail from Larisa is almost the same; lora@satr.sat.poltava.ua. So, beware! Thanks.

Svetlana Dmitrievna Gausheva (Saransk, Russia)

Hello,
I am writing to let you know of someone who I thought was a very sincere women, only to find out too late that she was in fact a scammer. Unfortunately I lost quite a bit of money form this woman before I found out the truth about her. I am writing here today in hopes that you will add her name to your blacklist and in hopes that I might be able to help stop this woman from doing anymore harm to anymore innocent men. I found her ad up in a personal dating agency called Absolute agency. After searching all the ads and going through all the women who all sounded the same, I thought I had finally found someone who seemed honest and genuine from what she wrote in her personal ad.

During our conversations we talked a lot about my life and her life, and she took the time to answer all the questions that I had concerning her life and everything I wanted to know about her. I have read in sites like this one and how some women try to scam American men out of money, and that they are very slick in not answering anything personal and staying away from answering any direct questions. But the woman I have been talking to was nothing like that. She answered every question that I asked every time I asked them. She just seemed like everything I have been wanting all my life to have in my life and I thought I had finally found that special one.

Then it came down to getting her ticket and visa that she said she could get. Well, to make a long story short, After I sent her the money for plane ticket and her visa, which came to $1200, I did not hear from her again. I have written several times to her with no response, and yesterday when I went to check the date agency again, I saw that she had put her ad back up with the same personal ad trying to do the same thing to someone else. I was lucky enough to be able to get alot of information on her in the times that I wrote to her. I hope that me giving you this information about her, that it will help stop what she is doing to all those other innocent and unsuspecting men who respond to her ad.

Her name and address:

I saw her add at the site absoluteagency. I wrote to her and she replied with a normal letter. she seemed to me real first. at the 4th letter, she asked me to pay for the correspondence, which I did. I sent the agency 120.- usd using western union. later she told me that she wants to talk to me on the phone with the help of an interpreter. so I called, and we talked, and she told me on the phone that she wants to learn English so that we could talk without anybody being in between.  next day the agency sent me a price list. and I was about to send the money, when I crossed your site. I did read a story from a gentleman, called john, from the USA. he did send her money for English classes. his story was about the same as mine. your site, and Johns story which was posted there, saved me. thank you !!! the woman appears with two different names, one is : Irina, the other one is Svetlana Tkacheva, when she is Irina, she is 21 years old, as Svetlana she is 24. she has still her add at the site, From Absolute Agency # A933665. 2 days ago, after I stopped writing her, she wrote me again and told me that I should call once more. so I did, and asked her what her real name is , and why she is not having English classes yet with the money that John did send her already. she hang up. Tatyana Kuznecova (Tuymen, Russia)

My name is Harold. I am a 45 y.o. disabled, medically retired man. Tatyana Kuznecova wrote me thru 'MatesandDates'. Mates and Dates incidentally, pulled her ad from their service. I wish they could have sent me an email telling why. The ad was pulled after I had already read the letter she sent to me at Mates and Dates. She told me her name was Tatyana Kuznecova, in Tyumen, Russia. The story goes about the same as all the others. First letter was sent to me on 19 May 2001, and if I wanted to know more about her, I could see her information in the ad TatafromRU. Grandfather lives in village, lives with 'the mum', and later the money is to be sent western union to:

Close Jaint Stock Company Bank "Diplomat"
Uritskogo St. 36, Tyumen, 625000 Russia
Tatyana Kuznecova

My story is basically the same as all the others, with differences. I had told her how my two caretakers had stolen $12,000.00, and left me homeless. And that I just now am starting to get on my feet. She did express sympathy. My disability money comes in two payments. So first she tells me we will have to move slow, so as to be sure. I was sent a few pictures, and because of the way my money is split, it was a long term project for her to get the $315.00 and the $420.00 for June and July respectively. Then I got told about the $310.00 "Insurance" money. I thought someone was trying to cheat her. I told her so in an email, and have not heard from her since.

Harold, USA

Last letter

Hi mine favourite Harold! I so was happy to receive money from you. Money I had time to receive on Friday. But I wanted to wait of that moment when I can buy the air tickets. And only then thought to write to you. You forgive me for it. But I wanted to make you in two at a birth more happily. Today I walked in aircash departments. To my perturbation and surprise there was no limit. I can not understand why the aunt has not told me earlier. In an airport I should pay the insurance for safe hop. And the word of honor is not convenient to you about it to me already for speaking. But on the insurance it is necessary 310 $. At this ambassador of my satisfactory touchdown to me repay back 300 $. On its decor they take 10 $. I did not want you to speak about it and at first has talked to the mum. I asked her to occupy from somebody. But she has told, that who will give to her such money during one week. Though I also have told, that I shall transfer it them back, as soon as I shall come to you. I have reserved the air tickets up to Seattle. Whether verify please all correctly. I shall write a complete route of my traveling to you at the end of the letter. I very much would like to arrive to you to this day of July 22. But thus have told, that I can not take off from Moscow without the insurance. As to me to be with 310 $. I have a few money, but it will suffice only on the ticket on a train up to Moscow. The cheapest ticket up to Moscow costs 40 $. As it is a pity, that our occurring is hindered by money. In them our misfortune. Probably you do not have such money right now. But I ask you to occupy them from whom be. You see I can return you 300 $ on July 22. As soon as I shall come to you and I shall embrace you, you at once can return the debt this day. It is possible? Now I can calculate only on you. But I believe in your forces. I think, that your desire to see me more fast not less than mine. You see it so? But you see you there. I here. There can be on this I think, that my desire is more. We can be together. This most important that now me worries most of all. With impatience I shall wait for your letter. I should pay the insurance till Friday and then these tickets will be ours:

Tatyana (Irkutsk, Russia) aka Natalya Novikova (Irkutsk, Russia)

I am an American male, age 40 who recently placed an ad on www.matchdoctor.com. On only the 2nd day after I placed the ad, I was contacted by Tatyana of Irkutsk, Russia. I was taken by her beauty and we exchanged several emails starting around 7/16/2001. I had been scammed (although I never sent money) before, so I went into this very cautious. I had a feeling from the start when she said she liked my profile yet there was not hardly anything there posted (not even a picture). I had seen this site before and I decided I'd watch for her here. I couldn't believe the similarities in the letters sent by Natalia/Natasha. They fit Tatyanas letters almost word for word. Only the photos were different. She told of wanting to visit me in my country and told me the cost of her visa ($240). I knew it was nearly impossible for her to get a visa for USA. It was a dead giveaway when she signed her last letter by the name of Irina! My last correspondence was 7/27/2001 and I asked if she was able to afford the visa. I haven't heard from her since. I have attached one of her letters and several photos.

Letter 2

Hi my friend.
I am glad that again I write you. I did not expect that I shall write to you again. It is very pleasant for me, that you liked my last letter. I like to travel very much. Earlier I traveled very much with mum by Russia, when prices for the tickets were not expensive. Now I can afford to go with friends not far from city to lakes. We go in campings in the summer. It is wonderful I suppose. Here is very beautiful places. I wait for a summer when I can again take bag and I go to lake, woods. One my girlfriend play a guitar very good. Walk with the tents, unless it is not perfect? I like to look movies, me to like the Russian comedies and melodramas. I like very much the film "Romeo and Juliet" with Leonardo di Caprio. When I look it I always pay. I believe that there is such great love, and you? I unfortunately have no the telephone of a house, here is it's a great problem. Often switch off electricity or gas. I can call you myself, if you will give me the phone number. I have a very good family, the father works in boiler-house stoker, and mum the teacher. My mum's name is Tatyana, she is very interesting man. I always divided my pleasures and griefs With her. She never will give up to me in good advice. I don't know what should I do without so perfect mum. If you see how my mom teach children you would be very glad! At her lessons always reign an atmosphere of understanding and kind! I love my mom very much!!! My father's name is  Vasilii. Him is 55 years, he soon will leave on pension. I glad that he has not given in to the Russian habit to drink vodka, in our city very many men drink because of financial problems. It is very heavy to their families. I don't want that my future children grew in such family. It is one more one of the reasons why I want to leave Russia. I think that you understand me. I have finished high school 4 years ago. It is perfect time - student's life!!! Sessions, you know, when you don't sleep all nights worring, and when comes the day of examination, heart simply jumps out of a breast. I hope that you too felt it. I very much liked to study. After high school I began to work in restaurant and I could not refuse because at us in city very few work places. We live poorly, but very amicable. It is very perfect when in family there is a mutual understanding. I always dreamed to create such family. I'd love to have three or two children. I'm alone in our family: have no brother and sisters. Parents still love me very much. I don't think that I have grown egoist. I like very much honesty and decency. If I'll create the family I think that in relations with the husband must be complete trust to each other. I consider that it is the pledge of strong family. I like animals very much. We have a dog at home. It's name is Sharik. It is the rottweiller. I send you a pic with him. I like to walk with  him. He plays and answers me by reciprocity and always protects me. If someone wants to stick me he will protect me. Our city is not very quiet. But I am not afraid because Sharik with me. I think that you attentively have read all and will write me again. I'll wait for your answer with great impatience. Write me about yourself more and don't forget to send me your phone number. I shall wait. Your good friend Tatyana.

Still I talked to my girlfriend which works in travel agency and she has told me that visa B-2 the best variant that to us you to meet. She speaks that when we shall meet we can discuss that as we shall live further. Yesterday I saw sexual dream about us with you, it has very much liked me also I want to tell it to you. To me has dreamed as we with you we meet, as you take me on hands, we go to you home. At your home we go at once in a bedroom and you start to undress me, our hearts are beaten synchronously, we are passionately kissed also you start to teach me to all pleasures of sex. Hi my love Joe!!!
Excuse, that I did not write to you. Vladivostok - very large city and I had not time to go to the Internet the centre these days, because was very much engaged in consulate. Today I went in the airport behind the tickets. Me have told there, that I should have medical insurance during flight. Me will not land aboard the plane without it. It costs(stands) 570 dollars. I do not know, that to me to do(make). I shall search for money. I can not ask money you. I have learned(found out), that I can buy the tickets on voyage, which will be in 2 weeks. I did not begin to buy it while. I am afraid, that I can not find money so quickly. I should receive insurance up to a start of the plane. Is the sole difficulty, which has remained before our meeting. Now I continue registration of the visa. I love you and I wait for your advice(council)!!!! You have made me happy! Thank you that you love me and do not to be afraid all of difficulty my coming to you. Yours Tatyana.

Yulia Cheverdak - Svetlana Litvinova (Lugansk, Ukraine)

Hi,
I am writing from the United States and just recently began trying to correspond with Russian women in hopes of meeting someone for a future relationship. I wrote to Yulia when I saw her ad at Love@AOL. In her letter she sounded all sweet and talked lowly of Russian men. She was the first one that I responded to and when she asked at the end of the letter for help in paying for her correspondence and translation, I thought that was the norm. Along with the letter were two photos that I am enclosing. And the same day that she answered my response with these photos, I received an email from Svetlana Litvinova, "manager of the agency". On the letter that I received from Yulia there was a caption from the agency that said, "you can find more photos of this girl and information about our agency" at http://sbagency.hypermart.net. I sent the money ($125 US) as instructed by Svetlana via Western Union, in Svetlana's name to Lugansk, Ukrania. I wrote Yulia to let her know that I had sent the money, and never got a response. I ended writing 2 or 3 other letters concerned that something bad may have happened, and then wrote to Svetlana at the agency. She said Yulia had to leave town and was now back. So, I wrote Yulia another letter, and she still did not respond. I wrote the agency again and Svetlana said that Yulia had not received any of my letters. So, I changed my screen name and wrote Yulia under the new name. She responded with the same letter, word for word, and provided the same pictures. And Svetlana Livinova e-mailed the same payment plan and brochure about the agency the same day.
