Hello, I am a 35 year old from Australia. Elena initiated the contact through the
Australian yahoo personals web site (http://au.personals.yahoo.com). She said
that she was from Ekaterinburg but the time zone on her emails suggests that
she was in Moscow. Her first two emails were very long and seemed genuine
enough. She sent me photos of herself and her mum and dad. However the third
email she sent me was completely over the top…she said that she loved me and
anted to come to Australia and spend the rest of her life with me. She also sent
me some very sexy photos of herself. This is where I first started to have some
doubts, but I went along with it and said that I also loved her and couldn't wait to
meet her. Then things really started to move quickly, she had organised a flight to
Australia but needed $700 from me to pay for half of the airfare as she only earns
$150 per month. I said that before anyone jumps on a plane we need to discuss
our feelings for each other over the phone but she did not give me her phone no
when I asked for it and when I gave her my phone no she never called me. I
offered to buy a prepaid ticket for her but she insisted on me sending her the
money through the western union money transfer system. This is when I started
searching the internet and found your site which confirmed without any doubt that
Elena was trying one of the most common scams listed on your site. I told her
that I didn't think things would work out between us if she came to Australia and
that was the last I heard of her. I was sucked in at the start and if she took things
more slowly then she might have scammed me. Our correspondences lasted
about 3 weeks. Here is the email that asks for money.
Letter:
Hello my love Tullio!!!, I have checked plane and price of my flight to you,
I'm very happy that I can arrive to you and be with you, it is like my dream came to me at
night!!! My flight to you will cost about 1800USD, this Roundtrip tickets,service
and all things I need. From 20 of November the price will be getting much higher
as new year celebration soon. I'll have visa for 90 days. I'm ready to fly to you
and I so much want to be with you !!! and we will meet new year together they tell
here ,how you meet new year so you will spend it all one!! I can start registration
documents just after getting money!! . I have some money but not enough for my
trip!!! I didn't think the price is so high but I do hope it is not problem if we are
together. I think you should help me with payment. I need about a half of this
amount may be it is possiblle for you to send me about 700$ ? I need any money
to be in Moscow and to buy any nightdress!! I do hope it is not too big amount of
money for you? if it is impossiable to do I think you should plan your visit to
me,because it is all I could find myself and my parents gave me all money!
In travel agency they told me you may use western union system to send
money and I will be able to get it in a few hours you sent it! you can send it
in any bank in Ekaterinburg -Russia,Ekaterinburg, Berillo Elena and I will find bank working
with this system,they tell there are fairly many ones here!!! you know we don't
have too much time till my possible coming! you know I earn only about 150$a
month but I don't want and don't like to tell about money I think it is men's
business to make money. I only want to meet you as soon as possible and fall
into your hands just in airport , it is a pity I am not a bird to fly myself!!!!
I will arrive in blue jeans and red jacet I think you will recognize me I look enough well I
think so. I will visit cosmetic salon before my flight I want you to be killed just in
airport. I so much want to meet you in real life !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! OK, now I'll go home
, I am so tired of last days! I will be here in two or more hours to wait your answer
because I can't sit at home I so much hope I will meet you one day very soon
and we will live in your great country and have so many nice days together!!! it
seems to me my dream is near me and everything dependes on you now!!!
I can't find such words to express my feelings I don't know such words
in english!!!! Can't wait to see your reply. Kisses for you, my heart only for you,your Princess !
