I received an email from Vitaly the manager of Anita Dating Services in Odessa,
Ukraine as I visited one of his agency's girls in March this year. He was very
upset by comments about his agency that appeared in your blacklist (pages 87
and 114). I was shocked to read them. So I thought I would write an honest
account of my experiences with the Anita agency which I hope you will add to
your blacklist site. Natalia Prasolova contacted me through an internet site and
we corresponded for several months. Her letters were translated by the Anita
agency and were very interesting, telling of her thoughts and feelings and the
detail of her everyday life and background. When we decided to meet, she
arranged an appartment for me through the agency. Both the appartment and the
translation fees (which I had by now agreed to pay for) were fairly expensive (but I
guess that is how the agency makes its money), though their gift service is not. I
was a bit reluctant sending money for the accommodation deposit to someone I
had never met, but I took the risk and it was ok. In Odessa, I met Anna, the
owner (who doesn't speak much English) and Vitaly and his wife (who do). They
picked me up from the airport and returned me there at the end of my week (for
which I thought $30 was reasonable). Natalia was certainly an attractive girl.
Conversation with Natalia was difficult at first as her English wasn't brilliant, so
Vitaly acted as our chaperone/interpreter for the first day (no charge). Vitaly was
friendly and helpful throughout my stay and was obviously experienced at making
these trips run smoothly, which was invaluable to someone like me who speaks
little Russian. On my first evening, he arranged for us all to go to a traditional
Ukranian restuarant which was very nice. However Natalia was not as I expected.
In her letters she seemed very romantic, almost a dreamer, looking for a
"cosy family life". And getting increasingly passionate as my visit approached ("I kiss
you many-many times"). In reality she was pratical, hard-headed and somewhat
reserved, but still an interesting person to be with. She seemed to be doing well
career wise, she had recently got a better job as the manager of a group of petrol
stations. Natalia was an excellent guide and cooked meals for me at the
appartment when we didn't eat out. I even met some of her friends. I was happy to
pay for everything. I very much enjoyed my trip and things seemed to go well, but
I was taken aback by Natalia's letters on my return. She accused me of being
'greedy'. Apparently I had not bought her enough presents when I was in Odessa
and at a restuarant I did not pay for her friends' meals as well as for hers. In the
same letter, she had the cheek to request that I pay her $100 a month until I
brought her over to England ! When I was made redundant, I could not afford to
pay for the agency's translation fees any more and Natalia refused to communicate with me by any other means. So that was that. Apparently she
already had a rich American guy as 'backup'. I still have unanswered questions,
like was Natalia a gold-digger or just 'upwardly mobile' ? So, in summary, I think
that the Anita agency is genuine, even if the girl maybe wasn't. They have always
answered my queries promptly and efficiently and gave me a breakdown of
translation costs when I requested it. I wonder if the the guys who complained
were blaming the agency rather than the girl ? Of course I have no absolute proof
that Natalia received the gifts I sent or that there is no collusion between
agencies and girls, but I have no reason to believe it either. I guess you will have
to make up your own mind. It's certainly not as easy as you might hope to meet
a nice Russian/Ukranian girl, but I don't think you can expect the agencies to vet
the girls for motives and intentions. Regarding the letter on page 114, did the
unamed investigator supply any proof of his allegations or was he just telling his
client (who presumeably was paying him) what he expected/wanted to hear about
the agency? I think that these anti-scam blacklists are a double-edged sword.
Certainly, they can protect us from scammers, but also a person with a grudge
can destroy someone's legitimate business. I hope that more people will write
with their experiences of the Anita agency, so that a clear and fair picture

"Xala" Enclosed is another false ad from her on "Asiaeuro.com" .
Anna aka Margo Margo is now going under the name of Anna, Age 25, profile of which is on
Matchdoctor as Sweetanna75. She is now a teacher on 50 dollars a month. her
email address is anya02@bigmir.net The original emails attaching photos have
been deleted. Following are a sample in which chasers are sent when I delayed
responding. The whole timescale covers less than 2 weeks from first contact to

fully in touch with reality or something was fishy. I started searching scam sites
and although I found nothing 100% conclusive like a matching photo, I did find a
previous matching description that Tim had written. Thank you Tim!!!! I have
continued writing her to see what would happen and sure enough it has gone
exactly as Tim described. She looks so sweet and innocent in these photos that
it is easy to see how you could fall for her and be victimized by her. I may have
been had it not been for this black list and Tims description. I intend to keep
writing her as I would like to toy with and beat her at her own game. If anyone has

her and apparently she is back under a different name of Marina. Please can you
investigate as people like this give a bad name to dating sites. Kindest

about 2 months ago. Her assumed name was Lydia Efimova nice to see her
photos on your website when I sent you my experiences and letters I had
recieved from her I had problems with my computer and was unable to send you
a picture of her but obviously she has tried to obtain money by deception from
people in the United States. I did not send her any money.

My name is James and I wish to report a lady who is scamming. I am 40 years
old and from America. I am divorced with no children. Some time ago, I placed an
add on AbsoluteAgency.com . To be honest, I forgot about this add. I received a
letter from Nadya on April 30, 2003. She introduced herself. The usual
information. I do not know why, but I had a gut feeling this was the beginning of a
scam. I decided to see if I was correct. I waited a week to reply. We exchanged
about 2 emails each week. She never sent an email on the weekend. She would
not tell me her last name. She would not give me a phone number to call. These
are classic signs of a scam of course. By May 29, 2003 she was "in love". She
wanted to visit America of course. At this point I knew this was a scam.
The next letter I received from her she said she had researched the Visa. She
could get tourist or finance visa. Of course, there no way for this to happen. She
said it would be so much money and a plane ticket would be so much money. All
the more signs of exposing herself. Here is that letter.

I am writing this in regards to a scammer that I met
on the web sight Adult Friend Finder. She is from Kiev in the Ukraine and her name is Olga
(Olenka) Kurchinskaya. I corresponded with her for about 6 months. Her letters were
articulate and in great detail. She read my letters and answered all of my
questions. Her letters were no less than 2 pages long. Her hosting web sight was
Wind of Love .com They sell translations, English lessons, visas, tour
packages ECT. Over the course of 6 months I sent her about $200.00 for
translations. I chose a reputable American company to travel to the Ukraine (just
incase). So we wrote letters up until the time I got on the airplane. My entire trip
was based on her wishes on when was convenient for us to meet. When I arrived
in Kiev I had an interpreter call her and set up a meeting. She agreed, meeting
time came -- and no show. She said her brother had a birthday; but in her
letters she said she had no brother. This went on for 3 days. So then her siber pimp
(Yeroslave) who runs the agency Wind of Love said that I some how misbehaved
and now she did not want to see me. And that was that. I have 28 letters from her
and probably 10 photos some only 2 months old as I had them taken. I did some
research on her and found that she is registered with <www.womenrussia.com>
<www.inter-mariage.com> and <www.scamalert.freeservers.com> as a scammer
and internet fraud by other people. Also if you type in <www.windoflove.com> or
<windoflove@ua.fm> in yahoo search a warning page comes up about Wind of
Love and Star of Ukraine tours out of Bend Oregon. I had no dealing with Star of
