I was scammed by Katya Osovskaya, Luhansk, Ukraine.
We started to communicate in summer, and after few months, in invited her to visit me in my
country. I saw he profile on match.com and i wrote the first message. Her email
adress is O.Kate_2002@mail.ru and the post adress (ukrainskaya street) doesn't
exist. In attachment, i add 6 pictures. I received 3 pictures quickly and 3 another
pictures, but slowlier. I communicated 5 months with her, it's long and after 5
months, we forget the risk. And she has never asked me DIRECTLY any money....more subtil. She has only told me: "i can't ..because.."
I received in a first step exactly the same letters than other guys (i have cheked)...but after 2
months the letters become more personnalized. She was able to write me some
sweet expressions in french! The trap is very perfect. A last precision....during 5
months, she wrote me every days, excepted the week-end. I sent her 500$ for
the trip and after few weeks.....no news! I can't stop to smile about that, because
even if i lost some money, the trap is very clever and subtil. Great lesson.

americansingles.com i was writing to her for about a month. Needless
to say she fell in love with me and wanted to come to america and be
with me. One day she went to skyway travel in dnepropetrovsk and gave
them my email address. A man named ivanov anotoliy emailed me with an
itinerary for a trip to the us. I was ready to wire some money Skyway
travel company Lenin street 114/307 Dnepropetrovsk, ukraine 49370 I
happened to stumble upon the russian-scam web site when i saw luda's
photo under the name olga chelyabinsk. I wrote her an email asking
what all this was about and i received a good bye letter. I
asked for her phone number and tried to send flowers. The flower
company could not find her at the address she gave me. She did not
answer any of these questions, so i consider her to be a scam. Here
are some photos that i have thank you for posting it it saved me

Hello my name is Joe I just was scammed by this visa/airfare scam. I've attached
all the information on the emails, email addresses, pictures used as well as other
names used to pick up the money which I sent Western Union. This all started
from a letter I received from a personal ad I placed on the internet. Which I stated
that I was only looking for a person within 50 miles of my location. In the first
letter there was no mention of where she/he was from. In the second letter there
was. I figured that I would enjoy having a pen pal and see how things would go.
After all she seemed like a nice person and the girl in the picture was very pretty.
She did capture my heart and the idea of two people on different sides of the earth
meeting for the name of love was very enticing to me. So I went along with it. She
wrote a total of about 24 letters in which she said she loved me in the tenth letter.
Now I had visited your website to find out information about Russia and travel to
there. I didn't even pay attention to the scam information until I was looking
around for some other information. When I did see your blacklist I felt relieved to
not see her pictures or name there. But then I went back the next night and saw
the updated from last month list and there she was. Quite a bummer. I had just
sent the money for the travel insurance in hopes she would be here for Christmas.
Fortunately the person had some trouble with their email and was not able to
receive the control number for Western Union and I was able to stop payment on
it. But I have already invested about 1400 dollars to this cause. Talk about
embarrassment. So that's the story. I have done all but one of the things to do in
your, "What to do if you've been scammed" section. So now here's your report. I
hope this person gets caught, I will do my share to help that cause now.

I was on a singles site, MatchMaker.com, and I received an email from someone
offering me an email address to correspond with. While I cannot recall her profile
name on Matchmaker.com, I checked her profile and while normally I would not
consider someone that was early 20's … but I almost always respond to everyone
that sends me an email. So I did. Her name is Natasha Osipova and yes, I told
her that I was not comfortable with our age difference, as I am 41 and she "just
turned 24". She indicated she was only interesting in older men who "had more
life experience". We started corresponding and the next thing I know I was talking
to her on the phone. After a short period of time, I started feeling like if I did not
respond to an email or call her when she could break away from work … I was
letting her down. For some reason that was the last thing that I wanted to do!!
Before you know it we were making plans for her to come to visit me. (we
corresponded about 3 months) The agency required $320 to get her "documents"
prepared and an addition $980 for travel arrangements. My story has a twist …
and perhaps tells you how stupid one can truly be when they think they have
found someone they truly care for … I am not employed!! Yep, I am one of those
that got laid off bad when the 9/11 happened and I am still not working. Yeah …
really stupid, I know!! But for some reason, I felt compelled to send for her to be
with her for Christmas. My story pretty much plays out the same as everyone
else's. I sent the initial payment for the documents and then followed with the
remaining payment for the travel arrangements via Western Union. She, and the
agency sent me the flight information and we were all set. The only problem
according to the agency is that she was going to have to stay overnight in
Moscow, but of course Natasha didn't mind … "it was a small wait compared to
the time we would be together". The day of the flight I get an "urgent email" (from
Imperial Café) saying that the mean immigration people need her to show $1000
dollars for her to be able to leave the country. It seemed strange to me, but I
dipped into the credit again and rushed her the money via western union. Once
she got the money, I got another email that said that she got there too late and
the airport gave her flight (seat) to someone else, but she could catch another one
the next day for an additional $140. I told her that this was not something that I
could afford, but I go off and get the money she needs. Then I started making
phone calls to assure that she does not have problems once she reaches the US
with connecting flights. I find out that United does not have her booked on the
flight number that she gave me. I called and spoke to the "International Sales" at
United and started asking them questions about immigration and the various fees
that the might charge … click … I started to wonder. But everything seemed to be
legit and I continued to trust this person that I have become so close to. But
those doubts were there … monitored the money at Western Union to see when it
was picked up. I noticed it was picked up much later than the flight was to be
scheduled … it was then I realized that I was had. I am a cynical person to begin
with and I must admit that I did have a suspicion before … but they went through
an agency and it all seemed official, right? Perhaps the agency is not aware of
this, who really knows … but it is something that after finding your site … I am
not aware of. Anyway, this morning … which happens to be Christmas Eve, I got
up to "THE EMAIL". She condemns herself for being so stupid for having taken the
bus to the airport and not the taxi. While she was on the bus, her bag was "cut"
and all the money is gone. She feels so stupid, and of course she can only hope
that I can forgive her as she heads back home to spend Christmas with her
family. She will try and get a loan and return the money to me before her
Christmas … which is January 7. I think about this and the damage that was
done though … it is not the loss of money that is the most damaging … it is the
loss of faith and trust that I now have. That cannot be returned.
I have since sent the agency an email alerting them to what Natasha has done
and if they are a legit agency then they might want to be aware of it. I will provide
her name, address, photo that she has sent me … so that you can be aware of
