Kiss.com. After visiting this particular site, I started asking her some of the
usual questions about where exactly she lived, why all of her photos seemed to be
taken in a studio, her phone number, and if
she was a computer technician why did she have to go to an Internet club etc.
This girl, who was deeply in love with me, promptly stopped writing. She
hadn't yet asked for money, but you can see for yourself she was setting me
up for it. These are just a few of the letters. In them are more 'red flags' than a
communist convention!

*No permant address
*Phone number that never answered
*Reference to poor salary/wages
*Model-like features and suspiciously 'posed' photos
*Prepared to travel, but very soon because she has no more holidays until
August blah blah
*Not answering specific questions
*She had her own homepage!
*And finally, of course, she 'really loved me' after 5 or 6 letters!
Sadly, many of the girls on the scammers page are still posting on Kiss.
I've never seen this one anywhere else but given the evidence, this one
stinks like a dead fish.

site. I had received the exact set of messages as listed from Ludmila
Durnitsina/Raisa Adamova (Tver, Russia) listed on page 67 of your site. It
looks like I ended it right before the final e-mail asking for money. The fourth message has a subtle hint for money, the fifth message matches the message from Ludmila also and mentions low income, the precursor to the final message asking for money. The picture At_Home2.jpg is the same woman as in the one posted as Tania (tnn2002@krovatka.net) on
page 79.

suspicions were proved right if it is too good to be true then it

My name is Jason. I am a single 32 years old and living in Australia. I have
been caught up this scam. All my emails from the above person are pretty
much the same from the blackpage67 and blackpage77.
On 19th January 2002, Katya (Ekaterina Strelkova) sent her first introductory
letter through www.friendfinder.com web site as where my personal profile
was located. Her profile name is "v_katusha". She explained that she would
like to develop the friendship/relationship and knowing me a little better. She
asked me to use pretty_kittey@fromru.com e-mail address if I decide to
communicate her further. We have been exchanging the letters including
photos the several times a week. Our development of the friendship, trustworthy, caring, similar personalities, etc went really well as usual.
On 19th February, she has made a decision. She would like to meet me in
Australia. She cannot wait sooner rather than later. She was seeking my help
to support her travel plan and to cover travel expenses. Such as visa and
passport applications, airfare and some sort of the travel guarantees while
departing from Russia. She continued to tell me that she was deeply loved me
and would like to live with me in Australia. She forwarded her name and
postal address as the following:

I was aware of her behavior. Therefore I decided to debate her plans in
Australia a bit further. It took me two days to decide whether to accept her
request to cover her travel expense. Finally, I agreed to cover her expense for
her travel plan to Australia. I asked her bank branch code and her account
information so the fund can be transferred securely. Unfortunately, she denied
her bank account information including sending the bank cheque under her
name by using the registered mail. She explained that the people in Russia
would steal things from the registered mails. I was pretty much in doubt as
what she said. She advised me to use the Western Union and explained it is
the safest and quickest way to transfer my fund. I assume she will be collecting
at one of Western Union agents at Guta bank in Yoshkar-olg city The bank

On 4th March, I received her letter and she informed me that she went to the
bank and collected my fund. She explained that she was preparing to travel in
Moscow and lodge the visa and passport applications. On 7th March, One of
Katya closest girlfriend, Lena (Elena Ivanova - another Internet scammer)
informed me that she had an accident on the way home from Moscow. Lena
explained that Katya was a critical condition at the hospital. Lena was seeking
$1100 dollars USA to help and cover Katya's medical expense for an urgent
surgery in Moscow. I have noticed that Lena is using Katya's e-mail address
as pretty_kitty@fromru.com before changing the new e-mail address. For the
past several days, I was trying to confirm whether this accident really did
happen. I asked Lena to declare a statutory declaration (a legal document) to
explain these events. Such as a copy of the police accident statement, travel
company's accident statement and contact details, a photo of Katya while she
is at the hospital, Katya's doctor full name and hospital contact details, etc.
On 10th March, Lena informed me with the new email address as pretty_kitty@hotbox.ru
On 12th March, Lena sent the letter and explained the simple information
about the accident without using the statutory declaration statements. She still
seeking $1100 dollars USA and the payment can be made with the Western
Union. Lena full name is Elena Ivanova and the address is 17b, Petrov St, apt.
101 Marl-El, 42400, Russia. I become more suspicious. Lena did not
declare, scan and email any statutory declaration documents by my request.
Katya and Lena did not forward their body description information. On the
Western Union form, It does require the receiver's physical description if
collecting over US$500.
I am in process to lodge my compliant to the Russian Federation and United
States embassies in Australia; Interpol, friendfinder security and Western
Union/Guta Bank fraud department officials. My biggest and the most interesting question is either if Guta bank or Western Union knew about this
problem before my transfer was made. Then why their system haven't checked any known suspects such as names and addresses as stated from this
site to their blacklist prior the transfer? This could save our money before too
late. I found out the current scam using the same name and address for the
several months. Perhaps it is another big security hole within their system. If
this theory is correct, perhaps we could blame the Western Union/Guta Bank officials failure to protect against this serious crime.

an agency for the papers instead of wire her money through western union. Then I ran into this site. I almost went through with it.

can stay home me and mom really love and enjoy him, he is really a funny and
strong person but what I really adore in him is that he allow me to do all . even
too much .. Probably he feel to give to me in this way all what he cannot give
cause his absence during the year. But who soffer more is mom, she must
spend all her time working, taking care home and to my life, she is really lovely
and even if sometimes we can argue I must tell that she is really great. I would
like to do something to help her but I cannot at present. So this is my lovely
family, plus a tender cat who's name is dolaro (as the us currency). I am still 26
y.o., until the 22th of october and I graduated at university of St Petersburg in
pedagogical siences but after I got my diploma in violin. I am now working with
a small group of musician here in St Petersburg and keep some small concerts
in theatres and in some cafe; I also work as teacher of violin. Unfortunately my
salary is not enough to say I am a rich person (only 150 USD each month) but
this is normal for Russia and I can look forward to my future.. Dropping the
sad story seed..
I was born in Moscow but when I was the age of 8 years old I moved to St
Petersburg (1 hour by plane from Moscow) cause dad needed to work here.
We are now leaving few kilometers from the centre, close to the finnish gulf,
our flat looks just the sea.
I have one good friend, Tanya (for me Tanyiushka)
....aka Lena Balta aka Elena Balty..... , I really love her cause she is the only close friend I have here, except collegues at work. With Tanya I spend all my free time and she advice me in many things she is really clever and can speak fluently 3 languages plus russian, now she is working in a travel company and she organizes turistic group to foreign country; this is the reason she can make me dream when talk about all wonderful places exist outside here.

I travelled abroad only in Greece and Bulgaria, always with dad.
So, about myself. I am a tender girl, sensitive and friendly but same time really
activie and full of life. I did a lot of swimming in past and I took part to national
competitions in Russia but now I cannot follow anymore this activities.
At present I have a big big dream to build my own family with a man able to
take care, to respect, to deeply love myself. I have few experiences in my
country but always I understood that this men didn't want to build a normal
family. they like to have more than 1 relationship and rarely build think about a
house. I can understand their situation, no job and no house .life is difficult ..
But the worst is that normally men here have not also the wish to build
something, they are not interested. For this I took decision to have my family
abroad, or at least to try to have my family and my parents agree in all this even
if I promised them that I will always be close.
I am looking for a normal person, as generally speaking, but special for me; this
means a person special inside, a person able to take his responsability to do
something not so easy . the way of building a family with a foreign girl. I can be
a good wife, I can cook well and I love it, I can take care all what my husband
need and also (if will be) to future child. I can also try to find a job abroad, I
understand it will not be so easy at the beginning but I can speak some english
and I graduated in economics so I can try to develop my skills. What more .. I
think this is more than enough as a first letter, we can talk more in the next.
Talking, of course, help us to know better each others so that we can understand soon if we are the right persons to meet.

Hi Benny,
Thank you very much for your new letter. I always love to open my computer
and find a letter, this makes me feel anxious to know about and to dream. In
this way we all should tell a big big Thank you to the internet. I mostly use
internet at work cause I haven't at home but my best friend Tanya have one, a
notebook, so that I can correspond even during evenings (Tanya leaves on the
same my floor) and sometime takes computer in my home too. I hope one day
to be able to buy a second hand computer with internet.
Today it is a cold day, here temperature is minus 4 and streets are enough
dirty, this is something that I really not like cause I cannot weare good clothes,
in reality I love to be always in shape, you will see me. You must understand,
dear, that I really love to be always in a good dress for my pleasant and to
change my looking from time to time, I mean to change style of clothes or hair
style or kind of shoes. In reality I have not money to buy new clothes but from time to time a holiday happen and somebody such as mom or aunt present to me something.
(Planting I would love some gifts thanks seed)... I am having an intensive working period cause
until the 31st of march I will play 5 hours all evenings in a new restaurant of st
petersburg, it is a kind of show in group with other people and all morning we
meet with our group to try for May when will start city concerts. My job is not
regular I can have extra work in some periods such as summer and a lot of free
time in others.
I will take 2 or 3 weeks of vacation in april cause will finish my contract for
evenings and I want to relax before may starts. I do not have plans for my
vacations but I will imagine something, maybe to go for 3-4 days to Finland or
Polland with a friend of mine, but I am still not sure.
Now, dear, I leave you for a short time waiting for your new letter. I want to
know more and more and see many pics of you. I will try to send you as many
pics than possible so that you can know me well, unfortunately I can send only
few pics each time cause yahoo system.

I usually play violin in concerts and I am so glad to knoe that your brother plays
too ... probably we can have a duo me and him.
I love travelling. ... but now it is not the main, if I will travel will be to try to
meet my soulmate, not just for fun. By the way I would like to go to a warm
place ... maybe with a beach, you can understand me ... here it is always so
cold.
Inspiration? all in feelings, expecially when I have a bad mood ... that is the
moments I can be more inspired and i can play something good .... music looks

Hi Benny,
I always love reading your letters. Thanks a lot. Yesterday evening came at
home aunt Larissa and my 2 cousins Anna and Joulia, here we often meet with
relatives and friends and this is the opportunity to eat some cakes, sweets and
some the' or champane (ok, russian champagne .that means 1 bottle for 1
dollar), after that we talk and talk and enjoy few our together. Probably it is
also true that cause of the low temperature we accept to dring some alcool
speaking about me I am very controlled, after all our champagne has not more
than 10 degrees.
I am living at the 5th floor of a big building. Here all flats looks similar and all
buildings look the same but inside my home is really warm. I have a my own
bedroom where mostly there are pictures of me with my parents, friends and
playing the violin. By the way, eventhough one day I will move abroad I would
like to have the possibility from time to time to return to my home, very poor
but with so many emotions and memories inside. My parents promised to me
that if I will move abroad they will try to do all possible to save money and
come to meet me.
You know, my dear, I want really move abroad cause i need a family, a strong
family similat to mine at present, in this way my parents are a good example for
me, probably they were a little strict with me but now I really appreciate the
value of all this. I would like that all this could happen tomorrow but I know
that need time to really understand all us.
I wanted also to ask if you feel ready to have a meeting. I do want to have a
meeting if possible just in april (a month enough free for me) here in my country
if possible or I can also accept to move and visit you there if you will help me
cause it is not so easy. I really wish to come to you soon for 2 main reasons:
the first is that we really need a meeting in which we understand our personalities and in which we can feel if we can be sure to leave together for a
long time in a family and the second is that I would like to try to leave in a
country so different from mine.

here our situation not allow us to go in internet for fun ... there an only specific

Yesterday evening I had a lovely walk with parents, we also eat an ice cream.
It seams unbelievable but the temperature is now +5 and looks spring for us.
My parents trust me and they belive that if I want to try to meet you than I can
do ... in reality this meeting will say if we really love and if you can like and love
me so that we can start our future together or better be friends.

This morning Tanya aka Lena Balta aka Elena Balty sent me the mail with
all information about the trip but I was so busy to write to you, now I have
more time. First of all visa is not a problem cause Tanya organizes touristic
groups and she will keep my name inside a group, visa will be for 3 weeks
from 1st of april to 20th of april.
First of all the price. Flight to Miami is 740 USD + visa and insurance (195
USD). I have some few money saved but you should be able to come up with
around 800 USD, is it possible?. I can understand it is not so easy but we must
save more than possible there eating at home and saving more than possible.
To get all in time Tanya told me you avoid to use any post service but only the
Western Union system, cause American, safe and quick, you can also do all by
internet.(Hmmmm...have you read this somewhere before? They must have good advertizing there)... In Tanya office they have this system but need that

Good to hear from you! I am thrilled about you being able to get a visitors visa,
but the 4th of April is not good for me because I have to attend a friend's
wedding in Grand Cayman and I won't be back home until the 9th.
Also no need to send you any money because if you want to fly with Lufthansa
via Frankfurt I can organize the ticket for free. You will just need to pickup the
ticket at the airport ticketing counter once it is confirmed.
I do need your full name, your home address and phone number in order to

BTW - I forgot to ask you when is your birthday? I wanted to see what star
