I am very glad to receive from you your letter and that you have found free minute for me. I thought of that much will answer you on my letter whether or not and I am very glad that you have answered. I was very pleasant for me also even have a little become puzzled. I do not know what to write, and with what to start. So it would be desirable at once and much to you to tell about itself and to ask all on you. I shall begin all under the order. I shall tell to you a little about myself and about city in which I was born and I live till now. Now to me 34 years, I was born on July, 5 in 1971 in Russia, in the city of Kotlas, the Arkhangelsk area. My growth 5'6, weight - 61kg. On a map of Russia the city of Kotlas has arisen very much for a long time, speak approximately in 14 century. The city was formed June, 3, 1917 year when the government has accepted the decision about transformation of settlement to city. Since 1987 our population mark Day of city on the first Sunday of June. City our not so big. It is with bigger city of Arkhangelsk, capital of area, approximately in 600 kilometers, and from capital of Russia of Moscow somewhere 1600 kilometers. Kotlas is located at merge of the rivers Small Northern Dvina and Vychegda, these are rather big and beautiful rivers. Our city the third in area on the cultural value. 
In city many different factories and the enterprises, but all large sights and educational institutions are in Arkhangelsk. On a sign on the zodiac I a cancer, my birthday on July, 5. I think, this sign very good
because people which have been given birth under it it is familiar very quiet, counterbalanced. By a trade I the artist the designer. I work in firm which refers to "Exclusive". My work very interesting and perspective now. Many want it to catch, but not at all it turns out. I work and I make interiors both inhabited, and office premises. And as I am engaged in design of advertising of our firm and show-windows. And in the free time, I carry out orders of design of cards for people. It is work more as a hobby where I can have a rest and with benefit for myself. Somehow I shall more in detail tell about the work and than I am engaged in the daily life. To me precisely is not present! There are, certainly, normal men. Which work, well earn and go by expensive foreign cars. 
But they already all married or is not necessary for them family. To meet the married person, to be his mistress all life or to break his family I do not want. At us in Russia speak, that on another's not happiness the happiness you will not construct! Therefore, now in our country women progress. They are engaged in business and achieve all, not depending from men. It is very hard, especially in our country, but to drag on itself still any alcoholic and the idler, to feed him and to dress, nobody wants. Therefore in Russia so many lonely women. That is why I want to meet the good person and to cast in the lot with him, knowing, that abroad absolutely other men. They respect and appreciate women, are not only the head of the family and the person providing material welfare, but also a support and support. And I in turn could contain the house and protect the family center. As any normal woman who wants to have the family and the favourite person for all life. But I want at once you to warn, that my desires and intentions very serious. And if you do not want to have with me long and serious relations it is better to you to not write to me. I when was not in your country and at me was not present what familiar in your country.

I'm a divorced father of 3, American, 32 years of age and was on Yahoo personals looking into the internet for dating possibilities. I recieved an email from Nadya stating she was from Houston, but she clarified where she lived in the first letter. Anyways, Just writing casually, no major feelings, then 2 months later asked for money. By this time I already purchased tickets to New York City to meet her on her Birthday April 7, and on the sixth asked for money. You'll need to read her letters for the info...the point here is I was deceived. It's hard for me to trust women due to my last marriage, and now someone tries to take advantage of me. Well I wrote a couple more emails telling her how I felt about the dishonesty and I wasn't going to send her any money. I also told her in one of the letters I emailed the consulate in Moscow and sent the picture she sent me to them for clarification. I've yet to receive it, however, I tried to send her an email, and it came back. So I got lucky...Yes my tickets to NYC were non-refundable, but I can use them within the year. A vacation for me!

Thank you for your reply. I enjoy reading your letter. I should apologize for delay with the answer to you.
I am sorry I couldn't write you earlier. I am ready to an adventure in the USA. I hope you will help to test
to me it. I the Christian. I am very pleased you interest in me. Shayne I want us to keep our correspondence and to know each other better. Write me about your life, send pictures. I promise to do the same. By the way Shayne if you note any mistakes in my letter don't be shy to report them to me.
I have been studying English for some years at University and then by myself. I like to read books in English. And I still think I am not good enough to speak and to communicate easily. Your corrections would help me much. I write it by myself with a dictionary and I want to improve my language skills. 
My trip to the USA directly is connected to quality of my English. I the expert in the field of illnesses of respiratory ways. I like my work Every year the Ministry of Health of Russia carry out the international 
exchange of doctors between different country. This year they enrol doctors for groups that will come to the US. Russian doctors will work on probation for 12 months. After that they will pass the qualifying
examination and get the medical license. Doctors of our hospital had an opportunity to participate in 
competition for this trip.In november I have tried to address with the application and has passed interview. They have firm requirements: age, good education and experience. My specialization also corresponds to their requirements. However one of the basic criteria is the knowledge of the English 
language. I had good chance to take this vacancy because only the few doctors there can speak English. Many have their family, and cannot leave them during such long time. It was the big event in my life. I am a little excited. It can be really big change in my life. We have not been informed yet where in the USA we shall precisely work. At the end of March I shall visit Moscow for training. There us will
inform in more detail. Date of arrival in the USA the middle of April. You know our meeting was a chance. I have been surfing Internet for some months. The first time I used Internet was for my work. I read
about new methods in therapeutics. Then I started to surf Internet for two or three times a week. And now it is one of my favourite things to do. Recently I have interested in dating service and decided to try
it. I choose several profiles and you replied. Others havn't wrote me. I am glad we've met. Shayne I use Internet at Internet cafe. They have several computers here for public use. May I ask you? Why did you divorce your wife? My last boyfriend was a photographer. Our parting was not a tragedy. I don't miss him. I shall write about it later. To me I love the American films about love. My favorite - "flight". He old 1994ã.I have no what brothers and sisters. Certainly I want to have children. Children - flowers of a life. My friends are almost my friends from childhood and youth. They are already almost married. Don't think that I am close person. I like to meet new people and make friends. Shayne, I don't remember if I told you about my family. I live alone. My mom died about two years ago. And I have never seen my father. The most close person now is my uncle, my mother's brother. Are you surprised? We often had confiding talking. He understands me in full. I said him that I meet a man on dating service in Internet. And that this man is from another country. Uncle said that it is great. He said that it is OK, if I feel I want it. I am glad with this. Well, hope it is not too boring to read. You see sometimes man must sit and think about his life and about what he is and what he wants. It seems to me that I have this time now. What I want? Simple things. Happiness, family, careful husband. I put spiritual life to the first, not material things. I am not looking for better life or getting rich. I am looking for full life. Why I can't find husband here in Russia? I can, but I don't want. I see how my mother lived, I see how other people live in Russia. Yes, here is bad economics and I don't want to live here. I love my Motherland but I don't like the State. I want to have comfortable life and don't always be in searching good job and better salary. I want to dedicate my life to my husband and my family. I don't want to say that I am lazy. I like to work, but I don't want to dedicate my life to my work. I hope you understand what I am talking about. I see that many russian women try to go out from Russia looking for better life. They marry foreigners to get citizenship of another state. Then they divorce. I don't like them. Hello Shayne. How are you? Hope you are OK. I am all right. I missed you these days when I was unable to read your letters. I don't know how it may happen so fast but I feel that we have been friends for years. What happened with you these days? Here things are the same. You know sometimes it seems to me that life stopped here. And you live the same day everyday and it scares me. I may live all my life and I can't notice that life is going away. Shayne you make my days another. Full of life and joy. Thank you for your writing. It really brights my days. Don't think that is just words. I always mean what I say... Or at least I try to. I`m glad we spoke by telephone. I like your voice. It is so nice. I liked your picture very much. Shayne I can't still believe you are so far from me. Yes,I understand it but can't imagine it. Yes, computer and Internet are like a window to the world. It is fantastic. You know our acquaintance made me to think a little differently about people living in the world. Good change. Of course I knew about other countries and people but before it was like an idea, that I saw on TV, read in books and newspapers. The US government will provide housing for russian doctors. And their work will be paid. Soon I shall leave to Moscow. I cannot wait this moment. I`l legalize there all necessary documents. We will be told about details of our journey. I will meet their other doctors that will come to the USA too. I am waiting for answer from Moscow that my documents are ready. If everything works out I will come to the USA approximately April 10. Unfortunately I have a little information about the programm because they don't have open sourses to read about it. It is internal programm of Ministry of Health and they deal with the state doctors only. Yesterday I met my friends. We usually meet at someone's home or go to our favourite cafe. This is pretty nice place. It is small and very cosy. They don't sell alcohol there so it is not very popular. It seems strange? I am not sure you know but usually russians drink a lot. Some russian comic said "the drinking is Russian national pastime". It sounds funny but it is not too good in real life. It is always loudly where alcohol is on sale. Russian people in common don't know when to stop in doing something. ... If they drink they get drunk. If they love... they fall in love. My friends don't like to drink too as I do. They are almost my friends from university or childhood, and girls from my work. We talk, drink tea, coffe, joke, have fun. Very nice people. I like them all. It's a pitty we can't meet often but a time or too in month. They almost are married and have family and children so they are constantly busy. Well the matter is that I told them about you. They were really happy for me. They already asked when I come to you. I explained we are just friends but they still bantered me all evening. They say hello to you. Hello my dear Shayne.
I couldn't wait when I can come here to computer to read your letter. It really brights my day. I am really happy to get your reply. And I like we both enjoy our talking. Your letters mean a lot for me. I have some good news. Today me have informed concerning visiting Moscow. I should move there on March, 24. I am very excited about it. There will be big doctors and officials from a department of Moscow. I have got ready but I am really nervous. With us will spend consultations and occupations the big experts.
Shayne, yesterday evening I told with my uncle about you. He is exciting about our friendly relationship. I read him some parts from your letters. Not all, just some sentenses. Hope you don't mind I share that with my uncle. He is the only close person to me and I trust him. He thinks you are worthy man. But he said I must be cautious. I can understand his feelings. But for me you are honest man and I don't
think you can ever deceive me. I know I may be mistaken with my thoughts about you. Only time will say the truth. To be honest we discussed about my possibility to move to you. Don't worry, it is just an idea. I understand that it is too early to think about it. But who knows. At first I want meet you in person
in the states. We would be able to see each other 12 months. Anyway my uncle said that he will support me in my choice and don't mind if I move. Shayne, I don't know what is going on with me. I found myself thinking of you often. It seems to me that you are more than just a friend to me. I hope I didn't scare you off with my thoughts. I wonder what you think about me as your possible life partner? Do you
think that we could have common future? I understand if it is too straight question. But I would like to know your opinion. I am honest with you and I want you to be honest with me too. We must trust each
other. It's very important in relationship. As for me I see you as my possible partner for life. I know we have great distance between us. But with our letters I feel you close. I believe you are the man with nice soul. I think personal contact is more better than letters via e-mail. But now it is enough to know each
other better and see if we realy can have something common in the future. I hope we will meet one day.
Well, I continue to tell about me and my life here. My usual day is not too intersting. I get up at 6 o'clock and at 8 I must be at my work. It takes me about 20 minutes to get there by bus or about 40 minutes on foot. I like to go to work on foot because it is very invigorative. Morning, fresh air. I start my day making a ward round. Then I do physical examinations for patients. Other time write different medical certificates and papers. Also I make the report to my chief every week that takes much time to prepare. The most of my time at work I write some papers and documents. But I'd like to make more practice. I have an idea to open my own clinic, at least consulting room and start my practice. Unfortunately it is impossible in Russia, only in big cities like Moscow or  St.Petersburg. In Russia very big corruption. It is not enough to pay only the exposed accounts, it is necessary for everyone to pay a bribe. When you want to study at university, at registration the various document. Even in a bureau of funeral. You see we have free medicine because many people can't pay for medical service. From the other side free service 
decrease the quality of medicine. Well, I must stop here. I can talk very much about it. I couldn't leave it because of my mother. She worked here too with me and I couldn't leave her alone. Now I would like to leave this job,  find my life partner and start new life. After work I return home, it is about 5-6 pm. Make some domestic  things like cleaning and washing. Three times a week I go to gym, make some aerobics and dances. Sometimes I go to library and now in Internet cafe. Sometimes I visit my friends. When I don't want to go anywhere I stay at home to read a book or play piano, I like to learn a new music composition. In the evenings I watch some film or show on TV. Today I got my salary at work. That small pleasant event always makes people to love their work if only for a day. I don't earn large sum of money. Don't know should I tell it to you or not? Well, I let  you know. It is 4000 rubles (about $140 USD) for a month. But I am enough satisfied with it. I wish I got more money, but I don't want to become crazy about it. I saw many people who wanted to get much money. Some of them gained it. But they almost changed their personality. They can't talk about anything, only money. Yes, it is difficult to make good money in Russia. But money is not my life goal. For my salary I can buy something of clothes and it is enough to buy food. For russian standard I have about average earnings. I have a TV set and tape-recorder at home. I don't have a car, but I can drive it. I have  my bicycle and I enjoy riding it. Not sure how interesting it is to read about these things but I want you know. Shayne, how much do you make? I am just interesting. You don't need to answer if you don't want. How much doctors make there?
I know thatwe have different life levels. But it is interesting what are expenses for living at you. I pay about $50 USD for my flat and electricityIn winter I pay additional 20 for central heating. I live in an apartment in the new house. This apartment have allocated into rent because of death of my mother. Actually it is not my accomodation. I can just live here. I have one room and kitchen. I don't want
to complainof something. It is usual things here. I want to show you life here. By the way how much is Internet access where you live? I am paying about 30 roubles for an hour in this computer club (about $1 USD for a hour). Shayne, tell me about your the same things. I am interesting what is your life there. 
I thought about my life and recent events. You know from my last relationship with man I understood that the connection between man and woman is very delicate. It needs efforts from both sides to be supported and developed. You can't just date, make love and say words. It is more deeper. My last boyfriend was a photographer. Some my pictures were made by him. He was more than just a photographer, he was an artist, a creator. Our parting was not a tragedy. In the certain time we both understand we are not together and decided to break it. I don't miss him. It was the best we could do. Shayne I don't know why I tell it to you. Now I want to create full relationship and I know how to do it. I will try to give all my soul to my man and I need his one for me. Well don't get it too close. Hello Shayne. How are you? I am fine. I think of you often. I think of you all the day long! Shayne I am very happy to get your letter. It impressed me. I have been surprised in distinction of standards of living. I am very intersting to know you more and I like we can talk via email. This letter will be short because I have a lot of things to do here. To be honest I am a little nervous. Shayne, you may ask why I feel so. I have already received my passport. Now about news. All doctors will fly to New York at first. My plane on April 7. There they will make 4 or 5 groups that will come to different states. Here comes the money part! I already bought my ticket

Hello my Shayne. I didn't write you for a while. I am sorry. I know I had to think about you and just write you a short note earlier. I had something I had must solve before I write you anything. I know you worry for me. On April, 7 my birthday, I was dreaming to spend this day with you. As you see from the subject of my letter things doesn't smile at me. I am sad and confused. I don't want to tell it to you. I know you want to meet me. But I will be unable to come to the US by my own. I have faced the big problem. You have already bought the ticket to meet me... I hate myself for it. Forgive. I did not want to hurt you. Shayne I want to explain you the whole situation. In my last letter I have told to you, that I shall have conversation with Alexey from our trade union in Voronezh. I have met him, and he has told that our trade union will not pay my travel. I asked why and how it may be? They carry out this exchange programm without funding it? He said it is not right. Our government arranges traveling papers, visas, contract with American government. They also pay salary and supply place for living for american doctors that will come to work to Russia. Travel expenses must be covered from local hospital budget or our trade union. My hospital refused to pay travel the state practically does not finance her. The trade union cannot pay for it also because Moscow did not send money. Alexey has told, that it because of "bird's flu" Moscow has sent money allocated on our program in areas of disaster. He has told there this money are necessary more, our duty to help. I asked him what I can do? He said I can pay my travel by my own or find a sponsor. I asked who will pay me the salary for work in the US? He said when I will come to New York, we will contract with American government and they will supply the appartment and the salary for us. It is exact. Well, I asked him how much I must pay. When he said the sum I was very confused. It is $950 USD. I knew I didn't have such sum and I even can't borrow it from someone here. Alexey was very sorry for me. But when they leant I am coming to the USA they refused to me. I talked to my friends trying to find money but I knew they didn't have such sum. They have the same income what I make and have their children. They should care of them not me. This is my salary for 7 months. I tryed to ask for sponsorship in some commercial companies but they don't want to deal with me because they don't see any profit. I have made all that could. Alexey has told my plane - on April, 8 2006. If I shall not find money at this time, I can, go by plane with doctors from Rostov on Don on April, 12 2006. I must be in Moscow with money by this time. I will fly to New York if I have money and I won't fly in other cases. Shayne I understand everything you may think about me. I'm a single person living in the United Kingdom, my children don't live at home with me but one lives with her mother. I was left a message by someone calling herself Irina on Rendezvous, who had seen my profile and wanted to get to know me. We wrote to each other for several weeks then decided to meet. I said I would go to Russia but she said she feared for my safety. So I checked a few web sights and they sort of confirmed that it is unsafe in certain areas as well as in some cites on your own. She said that if she was to get a Visa she would have to live in Moscow for a week and that would cost about $600 as a friend had spent that there. The Visa would cost around $200 so I sent $1200 so she could get a flight with the other $400. She picked this up alright then said she could not find a flight for $400 could I send a bit more as she has to stay in Moscow a bit longer which would cost more. I sent another $300 which she could not receive I don't know why so I resent it which she collected. Then after she said she was stopped from coming to me because she did not have enough money to live on over here and asked for 3150 euros which is 35 a day for 90 days which was the Visa. I felt sick. Then I asked her for a copy of the Visa because Western Union said I had reached my limit on sending funds for the 30 days. I then got in touch with the British Consulate in Russia to ask if they had issued a Visa to Irina Vasileva. They said no, so I sent the copy of the Visa which was fake. I did ask if there was any thing I could do, But they said that the chances of anything happening were remote. I informed the web sight but they can do nothing. Nadezhda Panchenko ( Beslan, Russia)

I am a divorced 52 year old university professor and should know better, but I too was scammed by Nadezhda Panchenko. I will include the of her letters as well as the one that asked for money along with photos. I included a photo of Nadezhda holding a placard that is identical to the one sent to the truck driver in Texas -- except his says, "My dear Leslie I miss you" while mine says "My dear Joe I miss you." The letters have kept coming -- and interestingly, many of the letters are nearly word for word identical to other letters from apparently different Russian women on this site, and apparently pictures of the same model were used for other identifies. Live and learn! Very clever! Unfortunately, I wired her 150 USD. I have contacted MoneyGram with respect to that and reported the fraud. I had actually checked earlier on this site to find Nadezhda or her pictures, but sadly for me, I only discovered them after having wired the money.

In a panic, all what Elena and I could do - we pawned our gold earrings and rings and I got $ 93 USD. That is all I could do. The number of the flight on which I will get the ticket is 245 Aeroflot-Russian Airlines The time of departure from Moscow is 8:20 am. The time of arrival in Los Angeles is 2:50 pm. I will change a plan in London (LHR), number of the flight 7 Virgin Atlantic. After this I will fly to Los Angeles, to you.
I know that probably I simply must tell that I can't come to you because I haven't the remaining sum. I know that I promised to do all by self, and I was sure that I can. I did not want to ask you. But after I did everything I did,  I cannot simply tell that I will not come to you. I have passed through so many difficulties, and I have overcome the most difficult. But all the same I have disgusting feeling that I could not fulfill the promise. I am always ready to do all what is possible,- to fulfill my promises, but at the same time I understand that any person could get in such a situation. To get the visa I have spent much more money than I expected. But people were ready to help me only if I will pay them. I paid more than 300 dollars to get all documents, I paid in municipal committee, in the ministry. Even officers in army garrison have compelled me to pay for their help. I did not expect all this, but up to the last moment I was sure that I still can make everything. I expected that I can get a vacation payment. We get a vacation payment after ending of a vacation.  I asked to give me this money now because I need this money urgently. But,  at the last moment I have got the answer that I can get this money urgently only in case of serious illness or for example in case of death of the relative. I feel so guilty. I was sure that nothing can prevent our meeting. But I must pay remaining sum. It is $ 274 USD. And I must pay money before April 11, morning. Otherwise I will lose my nested money and our jewelry will be sold out simply in vain. I know that I should not ask you, and I am very ashamed to do it. I understand that probably you are not interested in me too strongly and you have no very strong feelings towards me. And I understand that it is a big money. I know it and for me twice difficult to address to you. But also comprehension of my position convinces me, that any person could get in similar situation.
