Hi, I am a single white American IT professional that had for one reason or another discovered this site at one time or another. I am a habitual do-gooder and feel awful that there are people out there that would take advantage of sad and lonely people. That is why I was intrigued by Tatiana's unsolicited SPAM in my inbox. I wrote her until I received the "money letter" and immediately posted here so no one would be victim to this scam. The original email was brief and came from fury4@pochta.ru and announced that this charming creature was seeking a Canadian man to be her contact in North America as she would soon be immigrating. It had an attached picture (see below). I explained that I was not Canadian and that it was cold there and they ate Moose and received 7 HUGE paragraphs covering every aspect of her tragic live in Russia. There were 4 or 5 letters before the money letter.

The bank address she gave was:

I guess this is the finally to the episode. I will continue to write and be sure she has a couple of trips to the bank and received my American Express card (a refrigerator magnet...) via the post to cover her expenses. I can't help feel that these people deserve to be screwed with a bit considering the damage they can cause. Be sure to check out her pictures, she is a delight!

Dear sir,

I am a single father of a 2 year old son, I am 52 years old and own mu own Import and Distribution company. I live in the Caribbean island of Trinidad, West Indies. I came across this individual’s profile on CupidBay.com and the rest is history! I came upon your website too late and quite by accident and I immediately noticed her picture! She has many different names but the one above may be her real identity because as I understand it, you have to have a Government issued identification to receive funds via Western Union. If this is the case, then I should think it would be easy to track her down. Also, she claims the phone number given to me is that of her friend next door, it is my belief that an address can also be traced to a phone number, can it not??? Anyway, I hope that this person can be found and prosecuted, God knows how many innocent individuals like myself looking for a soulmate have been conned and scammed!!

Thank you for the wonderful job you have done in putting up this website so that we, the innocent victims can share our experiences and in some way deter or stop others from getting SCAMMED!! Unfortunately, I was a victim, I fell for a pretty face and because I received an address and identification with which she collected the funds, I felt secure that she existed. Also, I was able to speak with her on several occasions on the telephone number she provided!! Oh well………. I am hopeful with the telephone number given, she can be traced to an address, also, I will provide the ISP address and hope that it also would assist, since she has consistently used this address from October last year (2005) to January 2006 (up to last contact).

They said that the duration of validation of the visa is 90 day, so I may stay with you for three months the most. I need to and return ticket, insurance for the period of the stay in the territory of your country, medical insurance, notary attestation. They said us that I must collect medical certificate, vaccination record, the reference from the place of study or work, Ukrainian and international passports. We showed them my international passport. They said that it valid and I can use it. They also gave me their e-mail address so you can connect with them yourself and find out more in details. I am 46 and never married. Yulia gave a birth date that makes her 27. I received a total of 24 e-mails from Yulia and 11 photos. The first contact came when she contacted me one epersonals.com. In it she claimed to be 25. I did not notice the age discrepancy until I went back looking for information. The correspondence began on 9/30/2005 had a couple of pauses. She finally asked me for money on 1/12/2005. I believed her until I discovered an old friend of mine did actually marry a Russian woman early this year. I asked him a number of questions. He immediately doubted her honesty based on how she contacted me. His wife actually is from Cheboksarsky. His wife did recognize the location of a couple of the outdoor photos. They are from a different town near Cheboksarsky. I still did not think it was a scam until a short time later when the first “I am in love with you” notice came, in mid November. Then I suspected she was scamming. I continued to write to see if that was correct. That continued until there was an interruption that began when I was gone a number of days for Thanksgiving weekend. She did not write for about 10 days including my announced absence. Then she had a story about her sick mother, and she could not write. I began to believe she might be real, and I better pull out to avoid hurting her more than I already would. She begged me to continue. So, I continued keeping it friendly and offering no encouragement for some period of time. When it became clear she will say she can come to see me at my home, I then did encourage her to get the Visa. Just before Christmas, she suggested she could get a visa with the help of her travel agent friend. Then I was sure she’s moving to the scam. I encouraged her to try. Yes, she claims she can actually get it and can come to visit me. But today, she asked for money to complete the paperwork for the visa $496. There are reasons I believed her early on: She answered most questions, she commented about my photos, the larger number of photos of the same woman and the long period of correspondence. Red flags: She gave a salary for her 7 day a week job and complained about how little it was. No telephone not even at the restaurant where she works, The “I love you” over and over to someone she never met. I could be reading something into it, but I think there were at least three different writers, including improvements in her English. She forgot what country I live in. She said she would see me in Australia. I live in a small town called Sidney in USA. I did not give her the town name for a significant period of time. The scammers seem to be willing to do a lot more work than I expect. Thanks to my friend, I had plenty of information about the visa laws and habits of real Russian women to see the lies. When I did find this site I found two names that closely resembled hers and sure enough, some of the letters sent to other guys under the name Zhanna Myasinseva ( no-t- in the last name ) were word for word just like the letters ! she had sent me. I knew I had been duped. Fortunately, I got off easy only sending her a teddy bear and a Christmas card. I would like to help any other guy who has been scammed by this ruthless B@%ch. She asked me for money after about two or three letters for a visa and passage to Moscow. The visa was to cost $395.00 and the trip to Moscow was $204.00 ....Yes you too can get screwed for only $599.00 dollars-American. Don't let it happen to you. I have cut off all communication with "Zhanna" but I have given her email address and mailing address in this corrospondence as well as copies of her letters and photos.
